The Mighty Guardians and the Witch's Shield of Power and Protection

with Karina BlackHeart near Wells, England
August 2-3, 2008.

Lords of the Outer Darkness! Mighty Guardians of the Elements of Life!

We summon and stir; we call you up!

Who are the Guardians of the Elements of Life? In Feri Tradition, they are more than "elementals" and their role is much larger than simply guarding the boundaries of our Circle. Vast, starry beings, powerful beyond our ken, and invested in the empowerment and protection of the Feri tribe, they are teachers, brethren and coven-mates, assisting us as we identify and move toward embodiment of our personal Work—the Work of the Three Souls in Alignment.

Identification of one's Work is integral to any Feri practice. This intention, when empowered by the Guardians, becomes our Witch's Shield, protecting and empowering us by providing a compass for all we do. The Shield can alert us when we have moved away from our goal(s) as magical practitioners as well as protect us from interference from spirits both embodied and disembodied.

By the end of this intensive experience, students will have developed clear intention for their Work activated and empowered by an intimate relationship with the Guardians of our tradition.

During the weekend we will spend time discussing the lore of the Guardians. We will be engaging many Feri tools including Three Soul Alignment, Kala, journaling, trance-journey meditation (meeting and engaging each Guardian, in turn), Iron and Pearl Pentacles. We will conclude with a ritual empowerment of the Witch's Shield in Feri Circle.

It is suggested that workshop participants have experience with some foundational Feri practices, specifically, Three-Soul Alignment and the Kala Rite. Other important skills include grounding, a sense of self-responsibility, respect for the group mind as well as for individual participants, and finally, a willingness to push beyond your established boundaries. There is a materials list for this class. Space is limited. Early Registration not only helps us organize this Intensive, but also assures your place.
